More than 700 representatives from more than 50 countries and regions attended the meeting. Since 1978, the China Mechanical Engineering Society Non-destructive Testing Society has been established for its 30th anniversary. Over the past 30 years, many workers have made outstanding contributions to non-destructive testing. Hereby, the first "Hundred Talents Award" was established at the meeting to commend 108 non-destructive testing personnel. The awards are divided into three categories. After the award ceremony, the Ninth Non-destructive Testing Committee inaugural meeting was held. Wang Ruigang read out the list of non-destructive testing committees and determined that 99 people from Geng Rongsheng and Shen Jianzhong will become members of the new committee. The director of the committee is Geng Rongsheng for a four-year term. Among the new committee members, the vice chairman added three young members: Li Luming, Ni Peijun and Guo Guangping. The committee members also added nearly one-third of the new members. The average age of the entire committee is 48.8 years. The ninth general meeting of the editorial board of "Non-destructive testing" magazine was also held in the evening of the same day. More than 20 members of each editorial board attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Guo Chengbin first gave a report on the work of the 8th Editorial Board, summarizing the development of the magazine "Non-destructive Testing" in the thirty years since its inception in 1978. Today, "Non-destructive Testing" magazine has become an authoritative and influential publication in the industry, which is inseparable from the joint efforts of members of the editorial board.
