Information

In 2010, China's Beijing Capital Airport handled 74 million passengers, second only to Atlanta Airport in the United States, ranking second in the world; Shanghai Pudong Airport handled 3.228 million tons of cargo and mail, ranking third in the world. China’s self-developed C919 large passenger aircraft project has completed its preliminary design and will soon be transferred to the engineering development stage. More than 100 orders have been received. With the promulgation of China's "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", aerospace and other industries will receive greater support from the state. With the continuous expansion of market demand and the continuous deepening of policy support, the huge market of China's aerospace industry has shown great appeal to the world.

At CIMT2011, exhibitors from the machine tool industry from all over the world have come up with their "killers" and set their sights on China's "aerospace" market.

Machine tool companies show their talents

GF AgieCharmilles from Switzerland has always focused on the aerospace industry, and its high-precision, high-complexity machine tools also meet the general needs of customers in the aerospace industry. At this exhibition, GF AgieCharmilles exhibited a series of machine tools, fully demonstrating the machining process of many aerospace parts including titanium alloy impellers. Among them, FORM3000 is equipped with C-axis and A-axis on site to perform 5-axis simultaneous processing of closed impellers, showing solutions in the field of aerospace engine processing. CUT200 uses CleanCut power supply and optimizes roughing and finishing strategies, so that the metamorphic layer of the workpiece is almost zero during processing, and there is no change in material or microstructure, which greatly guarantees the safety of aerospace parts. The vertical groove processing of the disc provides technical support.

The Italian machine tool manufacturer JOBS also demonstrated its composite material processing technology in the aerospace field. High-performance equipment including LINXCOMPACT, LINXDUO, JOMACH, TARKUS and JOMAX can be used in the aerospace industry. Among them, LINXCOMPACT is a high-efficiency vertical machining center driven by a direct motor with dual worktables, which can be used for composite material covering parts and structural parts processing, which represents the most advanced technology for composite material and new material parts processing. Including high-precision drilling and reaming system with dynamic depth control, built-in dust collection system, DUO machine tool with linear motor drive, dual-axis spindle head with built-in dust collection system with automatic moving dust hood, etc. There are also patents in the aerospace field. A large number of applications.

Tool manufacturers introduce new ideas

Aiming at the large-scale use of difficult-to-machine materials such as titanium alloys, high-temperature alloys, high-strength steels, composite materials and engineering ceramics in aviation products, Sandvik Coromant, a metal cutting tool supplier from Sweden, demonstrated its new CoroPak 11.1 New products include the new end mill CoroMillPlura (diamond milling) suitable for titanium alloy milling, CoroDrill452 drill bit for composite material processing, CoroDrill452 drill bit and other tool series products that can be used for carbon fiber material and composite material processing. A series of new end mills in the CoroMillPlura family are dedicated to aerospace parts.

As the parts of aerospace industry products have high temperature resistance and other characteristics, this puts forward stricter technical requirements for the processing of heat-resistant alloys. Tool manufacturing giant Walter has launched two new ISO turning tool geometries-NMS and NRS geometries, which are dedicated to processing high-temperature alloys.

At the Seco Tools 2011 spring press conference, Wang Po, the company's marketing director, introduced the JHP770&JHP780 solid end mills for efficient processing of titanium alloys and superalloys; and the solid drill FeedMaxC1&C2 for processing composite materials.
