Smart Battery Power Sensor

Three physical quantities, voltage (U), current (A), and temperature (T), are collected from the negative pole of a 12V lead-acid battery installed in a vehicle. A microprocessor (μC) then uses an internal software algorithm to perform real-time estimations, thereby obtaining the battery's state of charge (SOC), state of health (SOH), and state of function (SOF). This information is sent to the upstream control unit (ECU) via LIN communication, facilitating energy management and enabling engine start-stop functionality and intelligent alternator control. This reduces CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.

Principle:

Installed on the negative pole of the vehicle's 12V lead-acid battery, it collects three physical quantities: voltage U, current A, and temperature T. The microprocessor μC then uses an internal software algorithm for real-time estimation to obtain the battery's state of charge (SOC), state of health (SOH), and state of function (SOF). Through LIN communication, it sends the relevant information to the upstream control unit ECU, which helps in energy management and enables engine start-stop functionality and intelligent alternator control, reducing CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.
